Heng Long Pershing/Bulldog Shock Absorbers and suspension.

Post by Scoopey »

Anyone know if there are alternatives or replacements for the shock absorbers bot the M26/M41.
I've had my M41 a while now (but only run it twice) and not noticed until last night that the shock absorber assembly is broke on the rear road wheel and the spring has gone west!
Trying to find a replacement seems very tricky unless Heng Long "borrowed" the parts of other tanks. I noticed the Panzer III has a similar arrangement but obviously do not want to but a set of shock absorbers etc only to find they do not fit. I'd also be interested if anyone has any look in totally replacing the suspension on the M26/M41 with metal variants...again I can't find any of these anywhere.
Thanks

Hi Steve I had same issue with my m41 one I the rear suspensions arms was broke then the next one did then next.

I couldn't find any alternatives so ended up buying a replacement lower hull.

Was thinking of stripping good suspension and casting parts but that stuff all new to me so decided not to.

I suppose if you could find a shock absorber from any rc model which is about same size could maybe fit it but its case of finding it and buying ten at a reasonable price.
