Re: new sounds for a tamiya king tiger
what would be brilliant would be someone coming up with a way of fitting a usb stick into a tank and uploading the sounds ! would need a pcb that could be linked up to the electrics and probably a separate board for this ! But there must be someone on here already ruminating over ths ? Off topic i know but.................!

Hmmm..... I don't think there is a "separate" clark sound board that you can plug and play with TBU. Each clark board comes with specific sound (i.e. Tiger I, Pantehr etc) but it is a pain as there are really no way you can tell what sound is on a particular clark board externally. They also don't have a "KT Board". I think on the german side only Tiger I/Panther/Panzer III and IV.
I just got a Panther clark board for my KT, the engine sound should be the same (Maybach HL 230) but the cannon sound would be different.

Hello Ruben
if you are using the tam electronics, i think the only way to change sounds is to use an external & dedicated sound card like a Beier (USM-RC or USM-RC2, not the USM-HL) or a Benedini. With this card, you are able to use all your own sounds. I did this on both my tanks, using records from the "real thing" (on youtube you will find several videos from where extract the sound)
For example, the current profile running on my KöTi (Beier USM-HL) you can see and ear here
