Headlamp LEDs

Hello! If i swap out the LEDs on my Panzer III for smaller 3mm LEDs will a different resistor be needed. ??? Anyone know? Many thanks.

If they are the same colour LED's then they will be alright, the size makes no difference as I have 3mm, 5mm and 10mm white LED's that all run at the same forward voltage, its changing the colour that causes problems as different colours run at slightly different voltages.

I replaced the original 5 mm leds on my H.L. Panzer IV and Pershing ; by 3mm flat top "warm white" without changing the resistors..
The "warm white" gives you a color closer to the real thing than the "white" ...

I have to say that the 'warm white' does look great! I'm going to order some! :thumbup:
