Taigen full metal upgrade tiger 1

Post by superguybrett »

Just received my Taigen full metal, hand painted tiger 1 from jim at jwgtoystore, and is perfect with great paintjob, will post pics at weekend.
I must say service from jim has been fantastic, rang me personally to tell me delayed for couple days and also after it arrived just to check all was ok, would deffo recommend him for future purchases.

I got mine from them this morning. Extremely impressed with the tank and their service. I too got the phonecall about it being delayed at customs. Will be buying my next tank from him, for sure.

I will be enjoying it, if I could get it to work. I think it is me being dumb.

I've put all the batteries in the tank and remote control. Finally worked out where to put the antenna. Turned it on... I get a hissing sound from the speakers (so they are working) and a white flashing light at the front of the tank, but nothing else.

Using a magnifying glass as the text is small, and my eyes are not as good as they were. Really bad Chinglish doesn't help matters.

I tried that, after you'd suggested it. Didn't work. I'll look at it again later. I've been pulled from pillar to post today. Reading Chinglish makes my eyes bleed.

Think i've just been taken out by an antitank gun. just took it for a spin around the garden and noticed smoke comming from the turret switched it off abit quick and the rx box has gone up in smoke and melted thr motor leads. @)

God knows what's happened.
I've watched this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=en ... T66OA&NR=1 and got a clearer idea.

I managed to get it turned on and started to "turn over" then noticed smoke coming out the back. I've not used any fluid, nor got it moving. I am about to open it up and have a look inside.

The smoke unit comes primed from the factory with fluid so when you turn the tank on after start up, you will get smoke out the exhausts. Don't add fluid for about 1/2 hour of run time or when you see the smoke start to taper off. I have 2 Taigen Tiger 1's and the only problem I have had is the right rear idler sprocket came apart and fell off on both tanks. If that happens, epoxy it together and locktite the set screw in place to hold it on the suspension arm. Haven't had a problem since my first run out of the boxes. Good luck and enjoy the tanks, they are great for the money!
