naval combat

Post by daemond6 »

Has anyone here seen the video's of the RC Naval Combat groups in the US?

I've been in touch with a few of them, and thinking of starting a club in the UK, just need people who might be interested?

Take a look at http://www.rcnavalcombat.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for a bit of an idea what it consists of, and you can see some of the hardware that the US are using on strikemodels.com aswell.

I have seen this first hand on several occasions in Texas, and here in Memphis some years ago,the hobby was popular for a while and a company called swampworks made alot of the hardware and gun assemblies.

Not sure whats up these days but can find out for you? The hobby did have a site with the rules and the class specs. I will try to find their site, seems it was Texas battle group, and another in California,Pacific coast Battle group?

Yeah, there are a lit if groups, the main site seems to be http://www.rcnavalcombat.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which is ran by Steve and keri from strikemodels.com who bought out swampworks.

I'm active on the rcnc website under the same username, aswell.

My main reason for posting about this here is that I'm planning on bringing it to the UK, I just need to see if there is the interest.

So is it safe to assume there's not much interest in this from people on this forum?

It's ok if there isn't, I was just curious.

Hi

We mostly like tanks on here.

I know, and that's why I joined, as I like tanks too, I was just curious to see if people might be interested in battling something else aswell.

How about battling boats and tanks together, landing craft with tanks on, making a beach assault! lol would be a bit different!
