1948 report on Panther and KT welding

Found this looking around on the net....It is a very good read if you are interested in the tanks. If you just want to look at some pics of the tanks in the factorys, type in page 70 and page through.

Also the report is rather long,the conclusion pages though do a fine job of summery which is interesting. The detailed pictures are very good but the one thing that seems to be out of focus is the production "time" of the examples they tested?

Still it is interesting as well these documents were classified and kept so for many years. It would be conclusive to use some modern Technic on the Bovington Panzers to establish the results these methods may reveal?

The amout of time spent burning out failed welds was suprizing to me.....
