Re: high bustle sherman firefly
Cracking job mate ! You've really captured the look of a Firefly. I used a 1/18th 21st century yank figure for my commander, made a Beret out of milliput and painted him kahki, looks the part.
Re: high bustle sherman firefly
thanks . its taken time and has far more than the pictures show , i think i will have to try and make my own , british tanker , seem the model companies havent heard we were in it too
Re: high bustle sherman firefly
well i have modified my mato Sherman beyond the makers ideas
but this one i really like . i have a tiger and wanted to fit the 3.1 boxes from forgebear , so i asked and he now has the mk 2 brass 3.1 boxes , so i bought a pair
when the arrived i looked and thought hey those will go in my Sherman , so i made a custom mounting plate and tried them they fit beautifully and having run them in and silicon greased them , sound almost silent when running
so if you like myself dont like the original plastic mato gearboxes on the Sherman ,,,,,,,
its a pretty simple fix to fit these ,and boy they really do make a difference , recoil is better not a giant leap backwards as standard . and so much better to lubricate just drop the gearbox cover and presto
All i really want now is a pair of metal drive sprockets , instead of the plastic ones

Hat's off for a work of art.
If this does not wind up in the Masterclass, I don't know what could.
