Easy plastic oil barrels

Post by Tankbear »

Here you go an easy to make oil barrel.

You'll need -
3x plastic tea lights (used)
super glue
Paint.

First off remove the wick from the tub.

Quick file of the edges to help the glue bond then push together. Dont worry about perfect alignment it actually adds if slighty off.

Final step, paint

The one on the left I made first, you notice the lumps on the end. Ones I did afterwards I filed these off as the right hand side one.
Another thing if you have small nut you could glue to the top as the real ones have. I didn't have any small enough so didn't.

Scale wise it is almost spot at 55m tall and 39mm diameter.

And some action shots. :D
