have fitted rx18 to non s&s tank . all in but sound cuts out when stick pushed fowards motors pules for a split second then stop. has 3.1 gbox with metal gears.has metal sprockets and idlers tracks and rear idler adjusters. removed motors from gbox track and gears run free. if i remove motor connections from rx18 sound runs as should even with stick pushed foward. any ideas???

Sounds like it may be losing power when current is called for.
Assuming your battery is good,check all power connections,especially battery plugs.
Main power switch is another weak point on heng long tanks.
Also look at the soldered connections for the power supply on rx18 board,a dry solder joint could cause this symptom.

Hope this helps a little and you sort it out.

sorry for late reply have to fit around work. found prob . yes you was right was a dry joint on rx 18 board re done thanks for info
