[ICE]monkeys rc planes
hi ,just thought i would share with you my rc plane collection, i have a cambrian funfifgter me 109, a baronet , but my pride and joy is my picca 1/6 spitfire, i built this about 10 years ago and put so much detail into it its never left the ground, its been painted as johnnie johnsons mk 9, if the real thing had a panel line there so has this, even down to the rivets[ yes i confess i can be a rivet counter, lol

Four tanks (plus a few little 'uns) in too small a space = unhappy SWMBO. T'was time for a trim-down (to make space for that KT or Leo... ) Just glad you like it "Ice", I'm sure you'll do an excellent upgrade to her. Take care T

ice that spit' is fantastic, a real credit to you, as is the others, if we do have a battle down near you, you could make it realistic by having a dogfight over the battle ground, who needs hollywood

Nice! any pics?
Re: [ICE]monkeys rc planes
Hi Ice, if possible could you post a photo of the Spitfire next to a Tank for scale, and please post many of your Spitfire. That is a favourite of mine, of all the Planes in the war the early Spitfires were an aircraft that required great skill to fly, I read that the planes fuel system would starve for fuel in certain types of manoeuvre's? Do you have any information about this problem?
Thanks Sax

Re: [ICE]monkeys rc planes
yes i will post them again , yes the spitfire would stall from fuel starvation in a steep climb, this was due to having carbs , where as the me bf 109 was fuel injected
