Yes, very noticeable on my gearboxes but I have not tried it with a brass set. Still smother gears should run quieter and have less vibration.Here are some pictures of my fan cooled RX18,this is a very good mod as cooler boards are always better.The raised case allows much more air flow removing the heat much faster. This may be something you should consider with your upgrading.

I removed the case and placed the fan directly over the board. I thought that might be the best cooling option.

I had to take a short hiatus. I was busy getting an FPV aircraft back in order.
I decided to break out the Tiger for a spin and I noticed some unusual noise from a gear box. I found that the caged bearing furthest inboard on the right side came apart. I think it's due to a recent incident at the battlefield where it landed on the sprocket.
I also believe my gearboxes are out of alighnment because when in reverse the right side rides inward off the sproket. That leads me to believe that the outside edge is to far forward.
