Let me know if I can help, I mainly deal in Kawasaki in-line 4 parts from the 1973- 1985 models. But I have seen the Dream in restored condition bring several thousand dollars. As you know a bent fork is very difficult to straighten and makes the restoration project grind to a halt in some cases, and most wrecks are front end damage cases. cheers Blake

ps current project 1987 Ninja 750R, One owner bike that sat in a warehouse under a tarp for 15 years,clean bike not really my kind as I do the air cooled Kawasaki's. But this bike was a friends and I was with him when he purchased it. Next to warships and tanks bikes are my favorite hobby. cheers Saxondog

Here's my V max. Totally standard apart fom Bar's & flyscreen. Its in my workshop for a winter rebuild now. Frame , suspension,exhaust & carb mod's. The Honda vfr 750 is one i have just finished restoration on. The Triton is one i finished in August for a customer in Ulster. It was a total from the crank up build and i am happy to say he loved it. I have some more bike's but no pic's on this pc. Will load some pic's of the V max when it's finished.

Just found this pic of a bike i ran ten years ago. GSX 1100 motor with 1275 big bore, hot cams, bigger carbs, progressive nitrous ecu or trigger controlled, air shifter, frame by me. Best time 9.78 second standing quarter mile, 168 mph terminal speed. I still grin when i think about it. Oh! and my girlfriend at the time said you could hear it coming from over a mile away. Must have been caused by the four pipes with absolutly nothing inside them...

Nice ANDY, I have run across the VFR's a few times and the Hurricane Honda back in the late to mid 80's . The triton looks brand new, job well done and I'm sure the customer must be happy. Really seems that Bikes and Tanks go together.

Zen badger nice FZR, Performance systems like power commander are relatively new. My GPZ was the first DFI system strictly for the motorcycle industry and in 1984 their were no performance system modules to maximize engine performance. But their are now several systems but the best I have found for re-map flexibility, and garage type fine tuning is DOBECK Performance

http://www.techlusion.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Check out these guy's, super smart and very customer friendly. Custom from the ground up but less than Power commander. And better in my view. cheers Blake

Cheer's Blake. Had a look at that site & there is some interesting stuff on there. I tend to avoid injection as i know where i am with carbs & my customer's are usually looking for older stuff. I did once own a gpz 1100 b1. it was pretty much the first out there with injection on a street bike & pretty crisp on the throttle. Bit of a behemoth though & could get a bit squirrely in the twisties. But hey. I got a v max & they are not famous for their pin sharp handling. Just had an enquirey about doing an R1 streetfighter. Hope the guy decides to go for it as i have to do all the test riding. My partner in the buisness is a Harly guy So riding like a insane bat isn't his strong point lol. I've added a photo i found to the other's of one i made some time back. Cheer's, Andy.

I understand about the twistie issues as I raced the Turbo here in the first two years I owned the bike. The biggest trouble is the exit and hazing the tire when the boost comes on to strong. But the braking anti-dive system works very well with the upgraded brake lines and the fork brace, well I like your bikes and would really like to be more active in custom bikes but my Health is not that good after two very bad wrecks. Let me know if you need older Kawasaki parts,specifically KZ/GPZ 750CC stuff. I do have several engines,carb sets, wirting harnesses,and CDI UNITS. The V-max was always a strong straight line machine,and I agree with the cornering qualities, that is why I like the Mean Streak, reverse telescopic front frorks with triple piston dual disk brakes,with air charged rear shock. But like your V-MAX the drive shaft lift is difficult to overcome. cheers Blake

Just back from a weekeend run down the southwest corner of Western Australia with my club, the ORMTC

http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&sourc ... Kc9TC-5E1A" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

All up, it was about 750ks with a overnight stop in Busselton.

At one point I saw 275kph on the speedo :thumbup:
