My 1/6th DeSimone Sherman

Post by pzrwest »

DeSimone Sherman
I finally aquired a DeSimone Sherman in 1/6th scale I pick it up this comming Friday. It is a static kit but I may make it rc, but will have to do alot of thinking on this. Have to decide what to use for the motor/gearbox units, what ESC to use etc. Here is a pic of the basic kit. Suggestions and comments welcomed.... Harold

Harold if anyone can make that tank into an R'C runner it's you. That certainly seems to be your expertise.

nice find! when were these built??? I'm sure you can source metal tracks and suspension pieces from 1/6th parts guys like East Coast Armory or Bay Area Tankers.

Well a fellow club member(OOSC) mentioned he had an un-built kit of the DeSimone Sgerman at the Toronto Show this past June. I messaged him a few days ago asking if he still had it and how much he wanted for it and he rep;ied yes he still had it and I could have it for 130.00cdn and I just couldn't turn it down. Hope friday gets here fast hate waiting for things.... guess the kid in me is still there. Used to hate waiting for Xmas morning to get there.... Harold
PS... I believe Panzerwerk now holds the molds for this Sherman and is selling them now. Unfortunately he is closed down for a couple months due to a commitment

PZWEST, I'm looking for a set of Tiger drive sprockets for my Tiger, any leads on someone who may have upgraded to the new set offered by Steel Dragons and would want to sell their older set? Just thought you may have a few contacts as I have not done to much in the larger scale Tanks since mine was damaged in shipping. I would be grateful for any assistance. Thanks Blake

I am going to need a 50cal MG for my Sherman which of these two guns would you suggest?
The DRAGON U.S. M2 .50 Cal Browning Machine Gun Kit w/ Tripod
or
The DID US M2 .50 Cal Machine Gun(Real Metal)
Opinions greatly appreciated... Thank you in advance.... Harold
