Some more build stuff:

The profiline kit needs much fitting to get it into the tammy p-IV hull and upper deck structure. Tight fit ti get close to real look with Tammy motors.

Only real fault of the profiline kit is that their zimm covering is nearly perfect on every surface.

rear deck is all tammy parts because the fit is so nice, no need to change. I put some chipped Zimm on the fenders.

Front hatches are sealed shut, no way to get to anything there anyway...

Thanks! I just ordered a bunch of 2mm and 1.5 mm threaded bolts (head diameter) with nuts for extra detailing of this and future models.

More building: Due to small space and the style of the resin gun mount, I did not put recoil into this tank. Although, it could be done. Maybe I got lazy...

Anyway, you can see in the pic that I used HL gun elevator gearbox (Thanks RCCOMMAND). It is mounted to the thick resin hull with two long 3mm bolts trimmed to correct length and superglued into tapped holes. You can also see that almost 1/2 of the resin gun breech has to be dremmeled away for motor clearance.

A length of brass rod with hole drilled into one end and other end sunk into gun axle. This is then attached to spring (from old HL BB unit) to the hull with some nice Proctor Scale metal rigging. Another length of brass and copper function as the elevating arm for the barrel. Be careful to measure the elevation and build the arm appropriately. too high, too low, and wrong position will cause issues.

No traverse either...more laziness...but also a function of the gun mount.

filled in some of the gaps, finished the schurzen mounts.

plasticard , brass tubing, and scale hardware 1.5mm screws makes a great front headlight mount.

different locations for schurzen mounts(front fender) depending on date and factory so I chose location in pics.

Squadron green putty and milliput filled some holes ...


final pre coat paint tonight.

RCCOmmand has sent me a few sets of HL electronics (IR type is best deal)..still I need a few sets of receivers and crystals.

I have a question about the Zimmerite coating, which method do you use to apply the base and then the pattern? I just applied the Tamiya Zimmerite to my King Tiger which is the stick on sections, how do you do it XRAD Plain and Simple. Sax
