King Tiger with Porsche Turret

Post by Saxondog »

I need to know about this kit and it's value, also the Impact detail set for the Tamiya King Tiger. Were there static and R/C versions of this kit? Is this kit out of production? I am considering buying this kit and don't have money to waste so any feedback is welcome. Blake

You mean the Tamiya one like mine?

There were two types, one static only and one static with gearboxes.

Hi Blake i bought one last year on e-bay uk for £30 a real bargain as ive seen built non r/c versions going for £150-£200

as i understand it to make it fully r/c you need the late spec k/t wheels as the statics are pants and need bearings

the usual dmd/mfu would be required or go the H/long route even elmod if you fancy

The static Porsche King Tiger with Impact upgrade kit for 250US + 25US SHIPPING.Well I was thinking of buying it and maybe building it to R'/C because of the two KT's I just purchased from Bubbajoexx one is complete(no electronics)but recoil and rotation and elevation. The second needs tracks, sprockets, and a few other bits, well I was going to build the Porsche tank use the elevation, rotation, and recoil parts on the Porsche.IT'S GONE, in the time It took to message the seller about shipping some one came in and purchased it for 250us.I was really wanting to have both KT versions,I have never built a Tamiya tank.I really wanted to build one,but the risk and the money were against me.the risk is my wife, and the money is for a new washing machine.I'm already in trouble for the two from Bubbajoexx, hidden under camo screening, but she can count and two tanks plus two tanks equal mad face syndrome. Thanks for the heads up guy's but I was too late.

Yoou know for some reason, I never liked the Prosche Turret, however they are really starting to grow on me. We'll see how the new model looks when it comes out.

This is all good it will make it easier for eveyone to now have a Porsche KT just wonder if it will raise the price on the static Tamiya Porsche KT kit. I got mine for $220.00 but have seen some go for under $160.00 at times .
The Tamiya PKT's are still out there but they are not making it any more so why not great for HL for trying Tamiya are mostly in to RC cars and trucks now and they are trying to do a 1/35th RC Tank now also .
