Help with Transmitter Problem

Post by FireflyKeith »

Right i started the tank up today and it started fine, but that was it nothing else would work, i can literally just turn it on and off, so i put the crystal into another controller and everything worked fine, it is not the batteries as i used these in the other transmitter as well, i also opened it up and could see no sign of broken or loose wires :S :S has anybody had similar problems and know how to fix it ???

My T34 does the same. I have an RX18 in there with a Darkith unit. I asked Dave at Darkith for his advice and he told me that there appears to be some problem with some crystals, tx boards, the RX18, and some old/new HL transmitters.

All I know is that if I fit one of the original channel 3 crystals it seems to work ok, but an 08 makes it do what yours does. I can switch it on, the lights come on, but I can't start it. If I put an 03 in there it is fine. It's weird, but maybe David is correct?
