Hi
First you cut out the whole hatches hinges and everything out of the other hull
Then you divide them, then grind out the pivots
then grind down the hinges, take your time don't rush it
then use an 1mm drill bit in your Dremel drill the holes in the hinges align the holes up with the pivots
don't do it in one go or the plastic WILL just melt IT WILL MELT
then you cut out the doors on the tank LEAVE the hinges on DON'T CUT OUT THE HINGES
then grind off what is left of the hinges on the tank. Take your time it is no a race
drill the holes in the pivot NOT IN ONE GO THE PLASTIC WILL MELT
then you cut down the track pins to size, you want the rough bit
then it's a case of fiddle about a bit to get them to align up and to open and close.

Re: Pershing engine covers
I Had an idea about how to make it look better. If you could find a picture of a pershing with the covers open,an overhead shot then modify the pictures size to scale with photobucket or another software then print the picture and paste it to a plasticard piece cut to fit under the hull, from overhead you would see a pershing engine compartment.Don't know how well this would work but some rc aircraft do this to simulate instrument panels,Good luck and great job on the hatches.Sax

Hi Jon,
Nice video demo. But you really need to trim off the dummy handles and make some proper ones out of wire and brass shim sheet! Then they'd be really easy to open!
