Thanks Meter rat.
I have fallen down an absolute rabbit hole with the electronics for this thing and I'm also back at work as of yesterday which is going to seriously impede my tank time. I can't get the TBS Mini to play nicely with the TK22 but I think it might be because of the custom mix I have on my radio for the board. I've decided to start from scratch with a standard TK22 configuration and work from there. I'm still running the old and very outdated TankER9x firmware on my radio so I'll start with updating that and I also need to brush up on how to use ER9x and programming radios because I haven't done that for years. And then there's the shiny new Radiomaster TX16s radios that keep grabbing my attention.
Hooben T-55 Rebuild
Re: Hooben T-55 Rebuild
Unsurprisingly, I have now sent 6 emails to Hooben over the past few weeks regarding the gearbox issue with no reply. It's all getting a bit ridiculous and is very frustrating. I thought there may have been an issue with the email address or no staff around so I sent a different email asking for a price on metal tracks and it was answered within 48 hours. Hooben are quite responsive when it comes to selling things but for fixing issues it's radio silence. I really hoped they had improved after all these years but apparently not. I may need to cut my losses and buy another gearbox from another vendor. Finding one to fit shouldn't be too difficult.
In other news, I'm still struggling with the TBS Mini and the Clark but I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to it recently.
