Yes the Beier looks great but again with no IR battling capability it's not for me even if I could justify the cost. I suppose with Beier really focusing on the European market them not having IR battle capability isn't a big deal as IR battling seems to be mostly a NA thing with some clubs in Oceania and Asia. The old Elmods that some guys in the club run are really nice and great sounds but they dont's like the new Elmod versions. Overall Clark boards work for us and are the standard board in our club with still quite a few Tamiyas like mine running around.

If there was even a hint of a possibility of participating in an IR battle club this would steer my decision. But since that's not a thing I'll just build a cool tank with options, capabilities and cool sounds.

The whole battling and having a field to run the tanks on does add a lot to the hobby. However as I said on another thread I wouldn't mind doing a non battler for once so it needn't be an expensive model. A cheapo HL Stug would be a good subject so I am interested in finding out more about the Beier HL plug and play board myself. I've only seen things about the top of the line board which looks to be way above my skill level. I like the momentum on the Clark boards but I had some of the late IBU2U boards that were just crazy to try and drive because it was almost impossible to find a way to tone down the momentum to a more driver friendly amount or remove altogether . Caused a lot of damage to my barrels and recoil mechs running into walls and buildings and other tanks.

I have quite a few Clarks. Never noticed any momentum issues. I just looked at the Clark page and there is a momentum setting, but the default is "off".

Yes that was my point. The Clark momentum is fine. We finally made everybody with a Clark put momentum on if they wanted to be in the battles. There were some stupidly fast reverse/forward tanks being used. Turning momentum on stopped that. Like I said on the last batch of IBU it was uncontrollable. I even had one of my Panthers run right over my forearm before it crashed into a wall the momentum was so ridiculous on those boards. I would like to try a Beier out but just not the Euro 250+ one, which to be honest would be wasted on me. I rarely bother with lights for example although my tanks have them operational.

I prefer my momentum to be as accurate as possible which I’ve only had luck with my Elmod Fusion pro. I don’t battle but desire the most realistic movement that I can achieve. My Beier boards can’t quite replicate this slow rolling stop. Elmod’s realistic braking makes it even more realistic.
I miss the Fusion Pro board!!
