I got the Shot kal Alef kit from Haya some time ago, but due to other projects and general winter malaise I've not had the get up and go to do anything with it.

However after realising that I didn't have to cut the entire rear deck off I thought I'd start on it.

The deck had warped slightly (and to be fair to Haya it was originally supplied as fdm and I persuaded him to do it in resin like the pictures on the site), but with some clamps it was easy enough to get a good fit on the rear deck.

The rest went together pretty easily, there's some nice touches like the templates supplied which take the guess work out of drilling. Also there are printed infill pieces for where bits that attach to the mk3 aren't used. The trickiest bit is removing the rear portion of sponsor stowage bins cleanly. But the piece that fits in the gap does so perfectly.

A bit of fettling was needed to get the lower bit of the rear engine compartment to fit but nothing major.

Something I did do was enlarge the holes to wire the lights to make life a bit easier when I add the bulbs.

The rest of the holes were filled with miliput and will be sanded once dried.

The turret bits should be fairly straight forward but I'd like to drill out the 50cal for an led which I think will be tricky. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Thanks guys.

A bit more progress tonight, not everything done turret wise but edging closer! A lot of it was just fitting bits of the haya parts series rather than the conversion. The smoke launchers threatened to rid me of any sanity left but we go there in the end. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

As this was trying (at least to start with) to be a thrifty bud it's the metal barrel from haya, I know rich does a nice one which I wanted to my leopard but shipping across the pond these days is crazy
