Just gorgeous. That port is brilliant. Lots of ideas for our field. I'd love to do the trench systems and flak/artillery positions but where our field is located it is pretty well the Ostfront in winter so lots of soil/glacial till bulging in the spring when the frost melts out of it. Will have to figure something out but your field is an inspiration

we use extruded polystyrene cut with a thermal string as a mould, then wrap it in plastic film (the one used to cook) so the concrete will not adhere to the poly, dig the ground, pour the concrete and install the mould. Once dry you can remove the mould. Then add some pigments to make the concrete look like earth and that's all

Heya guys, it'd been a long time since I posted anything :{

There is not much development in the Panzodrom, only maintenance works and only one meeting since the summer.

but, for over a year, I've been working on the church. It's MY vision of one real church, Église Saint Samson, in Anneville sur Mer:

Image

Image

so, as said, my church is based on this one, and I will build the inside too.

here you are several pics from the beginning to the current status, it's still WIP but almost finished on the outside (the cemetery will come next)

the inner structure

Image

the roof will be detachable to gain access to the interior

the apse roof

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

as I found too hard to simulate the stone walls for an building as this one, I decided to do it with big regular blocks of stone

Image

Image

Image

the tower's floors are detachable, with joint magnets

Image

after painting

Image

the windows from the main body have stained glass

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

the tower windows

Image

Image

Image

Image

first hand of ochre paint

Image

Image

different stones colours at random places

Image

Image

Image

Image

and then added several layers of diluted gray paint until I was satisfied with the look

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

the main doors

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

the secondary doors

Image

Image

there will be several pendant lights inside

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

and the bell structure already installed under the root of the tower, the hole in every floor to let the chain go to the bottom will be made later

Image

Image

and now, some pics of the church on its place in our last meeting! here it still lacks some windows and the bell structure

Image

Image

Image

the KöTi to give some sense of scale...

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

the happy few that managed to attend the meeting

thanks for watching!

What you have replicated in miniature is not just a model, but the awe-inspiring beauty of the real church with its time-weathered strength and dignity.
