As for that sanding tool I use, the Sold On TV version is called The Renovator.
I know them as an oscillating sander but your terminology will vary.
The brand I have is a cheap Ozito. Sold by the big chain hardware shop here called Bunnings.

https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-300w- ... 0_p6290554

It has a range of uses outside of tank models, but I dont give a :poop: about that.
The sanding pads are cheap and replaceable.
Has variable speed.
Its good kit.

I am intrigued by this little devil for those hard to reach spots...on a tank. Decent price to get in between bogies and return wheel supports etc. Has anybody used one?

Not yet Mike but I just ordered one. I've used the larger one similar to the example Bix showed. Works terrific but too large for tight spaces.

Great start MrChef neat to see you working on a Stug.

Thank you sir. Yes, yes well gotta mix it up a bit. Between the Pz. III and this Stug project though the Tigers keep rolling in. Now there's 3 more and something else different in Queue.

And yes, precisely on the tool in question.

Yes Mr. B. I actually have one of those just never used it for the tanks, but I thought there was a smaller one for getting in tight spots for a model. H'mmm. Definitely better than the rotary for some jobs though.

I use one when there is a significant amount of sanding. The stick-on sandpaper shapes are handy. Once can make them oneself instead of buying more, but I just throw some more in my order when I have to order online.

Hmm
Filled in M.G. gunners shield slot
You going to hinge it Mr Chef?
If so, do you have the replaced DP machinegun to put in the aperture with the pan mags ? (I do - surplus -just sayin)

Try as I might, the lure back into the StuG life is strong & hard to resist.
