The Torro (Taigen is the same) Ready-to-Run tanks in their upgraded versions often have fine paint work already, inviting just some weathering. My next scheduled project is to repaint a Torro Sturm Mörser (Sturmtiger) that came in Dunkelgrau, even though I can find no evidence of any Sturmtiger being so painted. I started by removing the tools (grrr; I wish these were not attached). I will continue by fixing the Zimmerit where the tools were attached. Then I will do a base coat of Dunkelgelb. From there, I can decide on a specific tank to replicate.

I just remembered your question about grease for the gearboxes. I always use a white lithium grease intended for model trains, such as this:

Thank you for the input, can I use same grease for the tracks?

Nice Big Cats Ahmed.

Lubrication attracts dirt and grit. Not a good idea or needed to lube the tracks. Real tanks do not get their tracks lubed.

I though it is required as pert of regular maintenance as the manual is suggesting that. Anyways, I will be searching the form to find what is the maintenance routine to keep these tanks on good shape.

The best advice is keep them dry on the inside and keep the working parts clean,
A spray of PTFE over the gears at regular intervals is better than grease as it does not attract or trap grit.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
