I used the sand colour
when i mentioned dry brushing using the tamiya weathering powders/pigments i used a small paint brush instead of the sponge/brush they supplied
basically just rubbed the brush in the powder tablet and applied on parts of the tank and it came out to me quite good
I also scraped some of the powder out of the container and then mixed it with water like a paint wash and applied it to tracks and grooves also the roadwheels
theres 2 handles missing of the mid hatches which i found 1 spare in my parts and made the other out of brass rod/wire

P.S. Herr Doc! I did not use any of Tamiyas Powder Sets to weather either this Tank or Griffys M5. Both of these are sitting pristine on my Desk as Displays while I work on the King Tigers Build. Once I am through accumulating little Detail add ons, (like the periscope covers from Tank Modelbau yesterday) and have finished them to a point I am happy with, I will weather them lightly then like I do to all of my Builds. I work on my own time and schedule. If you would like to see how I use the Weathering Sets from Tamiya, please go and look at some of my Previous Builds here. There are a few more Allied Builds than Axis that show my weathering skills to greater effect.

Hey, two-for-one! My thanks to both of you for responding to my suggestions and request for weathering explanation. This Crusader is turning out to be an easy build. I have fiddled a bit with mine, but I am into another build just now. I have started the reading. It looks to me as if there may have been some light to medium gray Crusaders in the desert, but I am not sure I can trust the photos or drawings. I have seen that the scheme that Coolbank provides as a premium is quite accurate.
