That looks like it. Check with Forgebear. Mine works like a beast. Kinda heavy but quiet and oh so powerful. Both my tanks run these gearboxes. I hate the noisy coffee grinder gearboxes that are most common and cheap. I didn’t spend all this time and modeling effort to have it sound like a blender with a fork in it. Most people are happy with noisy gearboxes but not me. Especially if you enjoy quality sound effects.

Okay. I see one available at forgebear. I’m guessing that this system will displace the speaker, right? I’ll need to dremel out the battery box.

I have the standard long rectangle lipo 7.4v 7000mah battery. Is that still my limit with a 7.0 board?

I highly suggest removing the internal battery compartment and put a plate under the hull to seal it up. I will defer to other helpful experienced members for your other questions as I immediately discard the factory control board, battery, transmitter and smoker.

The plastic ones have a decent amount of gear noise coming from them and I used a liberal amount of silicone grease on them. I bought a bunch of them cheap for my 3D printed tanks as they are a tad lighter than my other tanks.

Waiting on parts and knee replacement surgery last week has slowed the rebuild.

The two smoke units arrived - barrel and machine gun…not sure I’ll use the MG smoke because of space.

Ah, knee surgery: it's not half as much fun as smoke unit surgery. I do wish you fast, fast recovery and plenty of time for you hobby/ies.

Sorry for the lack of activity. Still coping with knee replacement surgery. I’m in bed most of the time, Thankfully there VR to keep me occupied.

Good news - my dual current system is on its way!

Just arrived today! Will be a week or two before I can move well enough to make the necessary modifications. Stay tuned!

Stay out bed and walk. Get that knee past 90 degrees. Do your home exercises.
Don’t listen to me. I’m not a doctor.

Your modesty does you proud, What you failed to say is that you are a Medical professional.
Got any any advice for the bearer of a Heart Failure diagnosis, Marathon running perhaps?
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
