In my continuing refurb of my Metal Taigen Tiger 1, I managed to pick up a secondhand Tongde TDC-X Controller and receiver to replace the non-working 6.3 Heng Long mcu.
I have an image of the front page of the user guide (attached), but I wondered if the original had more pages and info ?
I've searched online, but had no luck. (I have also got the full 4 page guide of the very similar HL TK-7.0 manual, but wondered if there might be other documented differences of the TDC-X).

Re: Tongde TDC-X instruction guide ?
I'm going to assume that someone dumped this TondDE MFU because they replaced it with a Heng Long 7.1 unit. The older TongDE MFUs were known not to be compatible with the Tamiya infrared battle protocol - as in they won't give and take hits from other newer Heng Long and Tamiya tanks. Taigen/Torro tanks can have an IR protocol converter installed using the Taigen MFU that makes them work on the Tamiya standard. Tamiya tanks and the other boutique boards like Clark, IBU, ASP, Kim's TCB, the TCB...etc will mimic all of the Tamiya battle functions along with taking/giving infrared hits. If you don't care about infrared combat with other tanks then this unit should work. It's basically the same thing as a Heng Long 6.1 as far as I know besides the lack of IR support. The four page manual should have the button/stick combo guide (that Louis posted) to make changes to the settings on the MFU. Other than that, I don't know of any other docs that have come with my TongDE tanks.
I'm not sure what MFU you have when you say it's a 6.3. I'm aware there is a Heng Long 5.3 and a Haya 6.3, but I don't recall a Heng Long 6.3. I know it's nitpick, but some of the MFUs that are not more common do have some quirks their Heng Long counterparts don't as I stated above. Heng Long is just the largest company to use the MFUs most of us are familiar with. Haya and TongDE have gotten in bed with the same supplier Heng Long uses to make the boards, but they do sometimes change the specs slightly.

Thanks for the detailed explanation of the IR compatibility, fortunately I'm not really into that, though the secondhand tank did come with all of the bits for BB or IR use. I fitted the IR gun mechanism because I thought I'd better not fit the BB gun in case my Grandkids ever got ther hands on it

The 6.3 is just my laziness in getting the numbers right. Here's a photo of it in the tank when I bought it.

And for what it's worth, here is a re-arrangement of the controls by function for the Haya Centurion (which may be sufficiently similar): viewtopic.php?t=34561

NP. Looks like a Taigen/Torro V2 or V3 based on the fact there is an external sound card on it.OldTanker wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 12:52 pm It was from someone who was upgrading to a Clarke.

Thanks Tankme, yes, the faulty MCU did have a separate sound card/box.tankme wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 9:33 pmNP. Looks like a Taigen/Torro V2 or V3 based on the fact there is an external sound card on it.OldTanker wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 12:52 pm It was from someone who was upgrading to a Clarke.
