an introduction

Post by maarathekhajiit »

hello, i'm ma'ara. i've been enjoying rc tanks for about 8 years now. there's not much in the way of enthusiasts around my part of canada so I primarily enjoy the scale model aspect of the hobby and driving my tanks and trucks through the local park.

Welcome from Eastern Ontario!
Same situation here--my yard is my battleground. Haven't lost a campaign yet! Like you, it's the building and painting that's the fun.

Welcome from New York.

Yep similar situation here, no local enthusiasts to run with so I battle in my yard and get into the research and modeling aspect as well. It's one of my therapies.

maarathekhajiit: same here in rural Wisconsin. I mostly run in the basement and enjoy the sound. I do have an all-metal Mato M10 that drove me nuts until I finally got everything working smoothly. I took that to an fine International Plastic Modelers Society club about 60 miles away, sat it on their display table, and when the time came, started it up. A few of them dove over the table to protect their models when I moved it a half inch. Gee that's the best battle I ever won. :haha:

Welcome from France, same here, running my tanks in the backyards or in the park but I'm alone (and my son from time to time). But I spent much more time building and painting than runing them !
