Cant wait to see this one being built. Good luck with the project! Great choice, can never go wrong with the Terrifying Tiger.

Well I finally had time to open the "Pandoras Box" Special today. But all is well. Easy fiddly fix and she's right as rain. So now I have lots to think about and looks like I have some time to do it.

I finally have a Tiger Zug

Love the Late Tiger 1. I was in a rush to build mine so didn't grind off the early moldings or use the 3D printed turret ring I had bought. It really is the hot rod Tiger 1. Everything not needed from the original design removed

Just a pity about the air cooled barrel of the MG 34

I think I am about to upset someone

Re: [Germany 1945] Tiger I Late #122
like the supplied MG42 for the commanders copula

Ahhh I didn't even start yet

I think I'm up for some cool little extras for this one. But 2 things this time. I need an airbrush and I'm going to take my time.

Mr, Chef you need a Sturmtiger to complete the collection. I love my Sturmtiger

Hasn't grown on me yet. I'm not a huge fan of bombastic one trick ponies. But I can understand the attraction.Panzermechaniker wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 7:44 pm Mr, Chef you need a Sturmtiger to complete the collection. I love my Sturmtiger![]()

Oh I understand. When I was first getting into this hobby and hadn't even bought my first tank I saw this YT vid and wondered why would anyone buy that thing. While definitely striking and nicely painted that Torro camo looks like some sort of 60's wallpaper

But converting my original Tiger 1 late lower hull after I messed up the upper hull in an off the table mishap to the Sturmtiger by getting the IR Sturmtiger upper from Forgebear was one of the best and quite inexpensive decisions I've made. Probably is my favourite of my 17 tanks

Group Project Title and Scope have changed a bit based upon further research.
I will now be looking at camouflage paint schemes for Tiger I's at Normandy-

A perfect real world candidate I've been referencing is the Tiger I at Saumur-

I've learned the Saumur Tiger's service history with the Germans as well as it's use and service with the free French armed forces after the war. I've pieced together more information about it and the modifications that the French did to it since it last served with Germans.
So the plans have have deviated ever so slightly but back on course for Paul Egger's Final Tiger I command #133 at Normandy. No longer in the current group running as my Tiger doesn't fit into the 1945 category anymore.
