Surprise! Not a Tiger...
Re: Surprise! Not a Tiger...
Yes Mr.B. I've spoken to Mr Glover as well. He didnt have a promising appraisal of the SOL piece. I have reached out to the Das Werks crew and have been shown where to look but its the luck of the draw and keeping your eyes peeled on eBay as well. It's not available now for resale but I also reached out to AHHQ and am awaiting a response. I'm not really into spending $$$ for a kit. It might be nice to have and use but kinda blows my budget. Sooo back the the drawing board...

I'm definitely interested in what can be made as I'm not having good luck otherwise. And sounds like Mr. Glover is also an interested party. Thank for your consideration.Exhibitedbrute wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 8:12 am I will try find one to print for you in the mean time

Not sure how this prices up but I see AHHQ does not stock them.

That is an excellent idea. If I can a find a Das Werk kit cheap enough it could definitely detail up a future Stug build (another vehicle I have always wanted) and the bin could be used on the early Tiger build I have been contemplating ever since i got into this hobbyHERMAN BIX wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 12:24 pm Ive had it on good authority that the Sol version is hollow and can have blemishes ( Thanks Mr Glover)
I'd really push to get comms to AHHQ and see how it goes.
Or, buy a Takom or Das Werk PzIII & use the detail bits where you can.
The rest can be used on a Stug (which you dont yet have - but you will) so nothing will go to waste !!

I very much appreciate this.Exhibitedbrute wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 8:21 am I will see what’s out there, may take me a few weeks but I try get you one found/designed and made
Unfortunately good suggestions from Mr. Bix and others of where to look and who to ask have not panned out or answered and John Glover didn't have rave reviews for the available $25 SOL piece.

Re: Surprise! Not a Tiger...
I looked at that price and if in the US that would be a great deal. But with the Canadian dollar swirling around the toilet and $40 US shipping it's the same price as me buying it from a retailer Canada at their regular price with free shipping if our postal strike ever ends. But thanks for the heads up anyway
