This was my Mums Brother, He lost his life in WW2 on the HMS HOOD.

Hi, Yes thats correct, He was 25 as were many other young men who lost their lives.

I pause a moment here in thought about your uncle and your mother's--his whole family's--sadness. I enjoy RC Tanks and museums are great, but would that weapons of war never be used again as they were and still are today.

funny how life goes, my mum would just be 10 years old when he lost his life and couldnt really remember him as he was away at sea,
she is 93 now and in a care home and cant remember anything.
