Yeah, I have a flysky. I think we'll have to set up a mix of channels. But before that, I need to somehow figure out the polarity and channels for the motors.

ok, here's the deal: if I connect the main motor and the auxiliary motor is not, the right stick on the remote spins both wheels back and forth while tilting up and down.
If I connect both motors, then when I tilt the stick forward, the tank turns one track forward, the other backward.
If you leave only the auxiliary motor, then tilting the stick, in any case, the tracks rotate in different directions

velthal: I haven't any of the HengLong motor/gearboxes you describe, and the interaction among the transmitter, receiver/MFU, and motor/gearbox seems a bit bizarre. Somebody please help out here. I wish I could help, but at this point, I am along here for the learning.

These gearboxes are type of differential design. When the big motor spins forward it runs one track. When the big motor runs backward the other track runs by itself. The little motor does nothing at this point. If you want to go forward with both tracks, the small motor kicks in. When the small motor runs one direction both tracks go forward and when it runs the other way both tracks go the opposite direction. I'm over simplifying it a little, but that is the basics.

That being said, I'm sure you can set up some complicated mix in a computerized radio to get it all to work. The HL, IBU, Clark boards, ASP, TCB, and probably others have a setting in the control board to use this type of differential gearbox. What control board are you going to use?

If I understand then, tankme, to run the tank straight forward and straight backward, two motors combine their power. There must be some kind of differential in operation so the small motor can unh... wait... I don't get it.

Thank you for the answers, Herr Dr. Professor and tankme. I apologize for the long answers, the second child took all my free time)) I use clark tk60 for this tank. As for the motors - if I connect the big motor, both tracks spin in the same forward/backward direction. But if I connect it together with the small one, then I don't understand how to make it go straight))).

Denis,

Do you have the Sony remote and IR receiver for programming your board? I assume you have the SBUS version? If so, you need to follow the procedure:

And this is the setting:

:) Hello, maybe? Am I going to say something stupid? but wouldn’t there be? either a polarity reversal on the small motor or a programming error on the transmitter? it's an Sbus system? as said in the previous message, there is a particular procedure to carry out? it seems to me (see electronic post of the Forum) perhaps you will find an answer there? otherwise the specialist Clark, it is "Maxmekker" on this forum (post Clark)

Does something already appeal to me? the channel 4 plug is reversed compared to the others, black wire on the interior side, while on the others it is white? don't think that's the problem? but weird? there is no indication anywhere (copper side) of the type of card, or is it hidden under a component? As for Sbus, is your radio already in :( Sbus, Flysky? OK, but what type? 8O
