Thanks for the rescue, Kaczor! I need to see if I can do the base paint and start weathering before the goodies from Ecam arrive. Yikes!

I am making progress on this modest rebuild, with the road wheels and idler replaced in metal with bearings, the electronics converted to Taigen's V3 version and relocated so the turret can fit, and wire management tidied up. Now the base coat and a coat of clear flat Testor's Dullcote are on. A few original parts are back in place, as well as a few aftermarket goodies. I have closed up holes because I did not want all of the original parts, but do want others (on order from two sources). The T26E3 decals (Remagen, March 1945) will need to be on soon, as well as minimal weathering. (These tanks were not in service long before they helped secure the remains of the bridge at Remagen.)

I am learning and learning from this project, modest thought it be compared to others. For example, after I put on the base coat and clear coat, I found out what I wish I had done (get rid of that gratuitous BB warning light; find and add the correct towing mounts; why didn't I do the welds earlier, etc., etc.). But, hey, I will know next time. I have also learned that many good sources for aftermarket parts are scattered around the world, but with a rare exception, only two or three in North America (and even then, apparently none in Mexico).

Tamiya Model sprues are your friend when it comes to a lot of the details on these tanks. Even HL spare parts sets can be very useful what with their figures, Jerry cans and what not. Following along!

Wheres the best place to find these sprues? Ebay? I've seen some but they're like $25+ I've sourced a few Taigen accessory sets before. But Taigen US is running low on stuff these days.
