Re: Tamiya JGSDF Type 10
Well, it's still sitting, although I do chase the cats/dog around fairly regularly with it. It's a fast little sucker, but without rubber pads on the tracks it slides around quite a bit on the LVT's. I got distracted by some bad bearings on a VW sand rail and a nice dry spell which made it possible to go work on landscaping and other such things at the back of the lot...

Re: Tamiya JGSDF Type 10
I bought Kenny Kong''s metal tracks precisely for the rubber pads. However, the pads come separate from the metal tracks and need to be glued in place. The pads themselves feature a single locating rubber stub and don't offer much in the way of retention like Tamiya's Leopard or Abrams tracks, so I expect to be losing pads quite regularly despite using Bob Smith Industries' Insta-Cure+. They are also very heavy compared to the stock tracks, and will tear up the insides of your tank's side skirts.
