She's a She.

If the Gerry's called them by masculine terms what about Anneliese?

Hmmm, did it have a woman driver?

OK a bit more tweaking.

I decided to add 2 links to each side-

I already had them painted just had to muck em up a bit.

And h'mmm a bit better stance. But the tracks are soooo loose. I'm running them around the house to see any issues before I venture outside.

a bit better methinks.

Looks good to me.
Very similar sag in the tracks to what mine has. Only de-tracked once, and that was due to my driving.

Herr Dr. Professor wrote: Sun Feb 11, 2024 4:32 pm Now that's washed out whitewash! What fine work, MrChef! I am a bit confused: why would Tigers at Kharkov be in tropical scheme, or was it just that the Germans were caught with nice gray targets, having yet no camouflage scheme for the eastern front?
I was reviewing this whole thread and saw I missed this.

I'm sorry Herr Dr. I got busy that I never pointed you in the direction to answer your query.

As per David Byrden's informative site Tiger1.info= "Tigers issued to Grossdeutschland, SS-LAH, SS-Das Reich, and SS-Totenkopf in December 1942 through February 1943 were painted in the Tropen camouflage scheme."

https://tiger1.info/EN/Grey-Tigers.html

And heres that link I found to a PDF of the exact book by Jentz and Doyle mentioned in the link above.

https://porschecarshistory.com/wp-conte ... 0Doyle.pdf

So it is not just more than likely that the 822 I was researching was 'tropen' and not grey. It's almost certain. I hope that link and small read answer your question sir.

Happy Tanking :D

Sooooo as originally planned-
MrChef wrote: Thu Nov 02, 2023 12:05 am This is a 2 part project.

822 later became S13 under Egger and fought in Operation Zitadelle/battle at Kursk and survived through December 1943. Sooo I'll also be doing an S13 when 822 is done.
Something is afoot...

Will you be repainting? Because that looks pretty good right now.

Repainting?

That's after clear coat. I'm starting weathering now. I'm working with oil paints for the first time. Much to everyone's chagrin airbrush hasn't materialized just yet.

Well you have to understand, 822 was 22 pages, S13 got three post....

Looks fabulous, I just "missed the build". I know you have a research thread on the S13.

:O :headbang:  :haha: :haha: :haha:

Sorry Eric. Forgot you weren't in my head

At this point I'm not sure if I'll do a separate build post for S13 or just continue here and post up in the Show off thread when I'm done. I'm kinda burned out on dedicating the time to chronicle the same stuff. It's virtually the same build process just different paint and weathering.

BUT, I am totally into finishing part 2.
