Re: Tired Tiger I rebuild…
I keep coming back to this great rebuild, After finding my A Sprues with the hubs for removing the outer front wheel and realizing my Tiger 1 which has been beaten down for the last 3 years of extreme battle use needs a huge refresh I’m going to do it. It was my first Tamiya build and first paint job in 50 years and I was going to keep it original but this build has inspired me to do much better. Will still be an early Tiger as I can’t source the Atak zimmerit for the Tamiya and I will be keeping the plastic barrel for the same reason

Thank you for the kind words! Great to inspire others. We master new skills along the way.
The barrel should be obtainable through Mk Modellbau or Axels Modellbau?

Well done on the freehand painting. I can say from experience how difficult it is

Re: Tired Tiger I rebuild…
Decals on Zimmerit can be a mixed bag - last time I did it used Humbrol gloss acrylic varnish to disolve the decal film into the texture, one side came out perfect, the other side I put on *just a little* too much and it shriveled the decal and ruined it
