Heng Long Merkava

Post by TIGER RAMPAGE »

Toucan hobbies who are one of the largest sellers of Heng long tanks in North America just announced on Facebook that they will soon have the HL Merkava available for purchase. When I asked them 6 months ago for a release date they said they had no idea so I’m assuming now that we should finally see it shortly. We are still talking about Heng long though so I won’t hold my breath lol.

Heng Long wen easy and cheap way and made TORSION BAR suspension on Merkava, a tank with very distinctive external spring suspension :haha: Hooben wins in that regard.

I like that the battery box is much smaller now and those two screws make it look like it can be removed, but I usually put the battery on the opposite end of the gearboxes to offset the weight. I'm sure I will get one once it's been on the market for a bit.

Easy and cheap is fine if it is robust and keeps the cost of tank reasonable.

Looks good, let's see if it is! Without a load of work anyway.....

The only issues I can see (and others have pointed it out) are the plug on the turret for the MG LED and holes at the front for the fixing screws. Given it's a textured finish matching back could be fun!

Regardless of its immediate shortcomings, it will be a wonderful addition to a collection, esp those that are mainly into MBTs .
An besides, the rate that we interfere with a model from new means there’s nothing that can’t be made better.
