Haya centurion first look review, and it’s crisp!

Post by Mr tank a lot »

Hi all
Here’s my first look at the pre order haya centurion, it’s very crisp, and the controller from Clark is great, (once you work out how to use it! I’m such a electronic gimp!😂)

It's Tamiya carbon copy or some different moulds?

My Centurion arrived this afternoon complete with a bag of metal wheels I ordered when Andrew phoned me,
Just a small moan, a side plate off of the engine cover had come away but quickly fixed it with a smear of superglue. Now to start reading the booklet of instructions.
All in all very nice looking and in my opinion with its smoker and BB and optional I/R better value than the Tamiya Centurion.
The jury is out on the Clark board, I shall work it and see how it goes before deciding whether to change it or not.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Alsdo got mine today and it also had the side plate broken off the rear engine cover. East fix though. Not had a chance to fire it up but it looks absolutely great sitting on the bench. I cannot wait until the IDF updates become available as I will be getting another Centurion and still be less cost than one Tamiya Cent

Did others get the 105 barrel or was it just a special for Mr Tank a Lot?

I think it was Rad that made a run of those barrels and sold them to forum members here and on RC Universe. I think the machinist guy made like 10 of them if my memory serves me right, but the machinist also didn't want to make any more of them as they were a pain to machine.

If you are into 3D printing, Inkor has a Shot Khal on his site. The items can be printed from that set of STLs if purchased.

A question about the searchlight, where does it plug in?
And a second question, I have a searchlight with a mini two pin plug that came with my E200 Helicopter and I wonder if it would fit the Centurion socket?
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Looks pretty good for £600.

Not a whole lot cheaper than the Tamiya one though - need to get my hands on one to compare the two.
