Try model boat shops they sell brass pins with loops on the ends for ships rigging. Soldered into small brass tube and then threaded through small chain from a craft shop.

Thank you Meter rat. I'm in the U.S. Proper Model Shops are unfortunately few and far between where I am. I have 2 within local distance and neither cater to the model boats unfortunately.

But the wife wanted to go out shopping today and I was able to steer her into a Michaels craft store where I sourced the following items=

Wife even helped me pick out the chain.

Picked up a micro hand drill.

Wife also helped me find seamstress pins

The do bend and snip easily.

Test drill although not too straight but doable.

And I have solid reference material.

Please excuse any cat hair as I used a black T shirt as contrast for the little bits. I have 4 black cats. I didn't think their hair got on this shirt till I posted the close up pics.The dust and dirt on the Jagdpanther I am not responsible for.

Ok so I'm down to work on this but It's going to take some time. I'm not going to let this one part hold up progress or painting. Plus I have a surplus of tracks to use temporarily while I fabricate the hangers.

I am not a modeler with a lot of experience. I do broad strokes plus my eyes aren't what they used to be but I will work on this Mr. Bix! Only issue now is attaching the chain to the pins. Suggestions? I'd love if this was all prefab so it was plug and play but I guess if I can make rudimentary side skirts I can sledgehammer my way through teeny tiny pins and chains...

Leave the head on the pins & pop them into the small chain.
Then bend them.

Very nice track finishing! I also treat the track as an important part of tank weathering. I cringe when I see an excellent model with silver tracks.

Ok today was a New day this might get pic heavy but I'm just so happy how this is turning out being my first build and serious paint job.

So we started with good ole Rustoleum Grey Primer. It was cloudy 54F degrees with 56% humidity.

Really nice camera work! That is coming out great. I've never really considered the Jagdpanther, but it IS on my list now...

Very cool looking. Starting to fancy one of these old time tanks now. Either a Panther or Tiger, or both. After a T90, a second Challenger, and a Leopard.

Staging, Taking and Posting Pictures I just started learning since I joined here.

I've always been a WW II armor fan so what a great hobby to pick up. I have a Tiger I, King Tiger, Panther, KV1 and T34. I knew I wanted a Jagdpanther, halfway through this project I'm already planning my next Jagdpanther BUT, now I got hooked by the Leopard. So I have a couple new paths.

Yes, Chef! For 1/16 scale, good ol' RustOleum makes a great primer, and I have had no problems with enamels or acrylics adhering to it. After the spray bomb primer, I usually use an airbrush for finish coats. I use the reddish RustOleum for German AFVs because the real ones were primed reddish.

Not really it's Tamiya TS-1 Red Brown but it looks alot different on the tank compared to when I paint plastic tracks.
