Post by Son of a gun-ner »

Hello TOTM fans
I hope you've all had an enjoyable Christmas.
And I wish you all a Happy New Year.
My apologies for the late start, although I thought I'd let you all settle back into some semblance of normal before a competition.

We look forward to seeing what turns up to get our imaginations flowing.

NUMBER 1

Nobody? Or is everyone waiting to see the competition first?

Flakpanzer IV "Wirbelwind". Built on a Heng Long chassis, turret and gun 3D printed. Build steps are included in the video, pretty much standard. Not shown in the video, hence the added still, is the inclusion of four nano LED's activated by the machine gun circuit. The fun part was snaking the hair thin leads through 2mm diameter brass tubes.

NUMBER 2

My entry for the month, my t34 1942 with partial interior. This was converted to RC using a henglong chassis and gearbox. I've tried to retain most of the turret interior, crew compartment and some of the engine.

She's been upgraded with metal tracks, henntec idler adjuster, steel gears and metal sprockets. Electrics are a Clark tk24 s bus and it's running servo recoil and elevation, led flash, work hull mg and headlight.
