I just have to chime in here, even if repetitive: I am absolutely astounded by your weathering work! That plastic tank looks like real metal that has been (as Raminator put it) "sandblasted...in the desert." I felt the room here warm up and dry out as I looked at the pictures.

The Final Stages Of The Build:

Fitting Of The Tools, Spare Track, Spare Road Wheels, Machine Guns & Other Accessories Etc:

Now that the painting & weathering of the tank has been completed, it’s time to fit the tools & other accessories.

The original moulded on tools & accessories were removed earlier on in the build. I’ve replaced them with more detailed & accurate metal parts. All the new tools were fitted with brass tool clamps, the clamps proved quite difficult to assemble as they are very small & fiddly but are well worth the extra effort.

After I’d added some extra detailing to some of the parts, I then prepared, painted & weathered them using the same techniques that I used previously on the tank.

I didn’t want to use any form of glue for attaching the tools & accessories to the tread plate as I may want to remove them at some point in the future. I decided to use very thin transparent double sided tape, I’ve use it in the past & found it to be very good, also it’s virtually invisible & won’t damaged the Aber brass tread plate if anything needs to be removed.
