Re: T90 'Z' TWEETY-BIRD
I asked about a soldering pencil because of size. I have a soldering gun that is fine, but for wire connections, a soldering pencil is a better size. Here in the U.S., the Weller brand is commonly available, and I have that brand's soldering pencil, but it seems cheap, and I have to turn it up to 80% of its power to solder small wire connections.

Re: T90 'Z' TWEETY-BIRD
My apologies, I was thinking a soldering pencil/pen was one of those small butane gas torches.
A Weller soldering station with a fine tip is only for light work, like circuit boards, a lot of electronics companies use them here in the UK.
Turning it up to 80% plus sounds about right, the older 50 watt versions didn't have variable temp, they were all or nothing, the newer adjustable versions are around 60 watt.
My missus still has an old black single temp Weller soldering station that she used for circuit board work, and it still works fine. Don't forget, you can get bigger tips for it for slightly heavier work.

Re: T90 'Z' TWEETY-BIRD
Soldering aside, thats for dead-set electronic nerds that I am not, the cage is complete.
"Tweety Bird" has a place to call home now !!
Perfect it is not, more a representation of a hurried and futile effort to add protection to the tank from a kit of loose steel bits in a less than ideal location by people with a lot to think about and zero genuine motivation to achieve.
Now its completed I can get it primed & ready to do a mix of rust & mill-scale with a bit of green paint here & there.
By the mass of sticky-outy bits all over the turret of this thing, and the yet to be fitted M.G. & 'Shtora-1' dazzlers, there's no way I will fit the cage & hope to paint and complete the turret build..............

Yes, it is looking rather good

As for Mickey Mouse, in England, something looking/being Mickey Mouse, is considered sub standard lol, lucky you said it to a fellow Australasian

Normally I am saddened to paint a brass structure or appendage, but in this case, it looks better painted.
The spacing of the bars looks better, and the gleaming gold is not so reflective now.
God I love primer.

Shame I can’t work out how to add pictures

Amazing: I learned something new about regionalisms. Indeed, "Mickey Mouse" here in the Youknighted States would be an insult. Now I will be tempted to use it in the Australasian way. Hmm...is assault and battery still illegal?

Re: T90 'Z' TWEETY-BIRD
I've just got my I.T. act together and managed to get some pics up. I normally load by a phone, but I have an error going on for now.
Anyhow, the primer on the cage does make it look better. [atta

Looks good, let's see some colour and war detrious on that cage.
How have you gone about finding '16 scale bits to put on top of the cage?
