Well to test the BGC I am going to have to jury-rig(aka bodge) this lot into the body of the tank.... 8O :haha: :haha:

Not impossible, I did it with my first version of the BGC but not easy. Watch this space.

Just when I thought I would have to channel my inner McGiver skills (few though they are) I was saved by the postie delivering my 35rctank package from Hong Kong - only 2 weeks in transit! 8O

Here are all the bits which should fit into the engine compartment when suitably arranged (with the exception of the loudspeaker which I haven't decided what to do with that yet)

Now I just have to mount the pcbs on something to prevent shorting and also work out some positioning for the various components.

Today I got a lovely surprise from Will and Catherine at WCP RC MODELS, they sent me some bren guns and Lee Enfield rifles for my model. Thank you so much Will and Catherine   :D

The difference between my printed models and the resin ones is amazing!

In the background you can see I am attempting to play a form of Tetris with all the electronic and electric compoinents and at the moment I am losing. This is not being helped because SWMBO is insisting I wire brush and paint the railings in front of the house, and it is a bit like the Forth Bridge so the BGC is rather taking a back seat at the minute. I keep praying for rain but so far no luck! :/ :/

I think I almost have this Tetris puzzle tank cracked! There is still the issue of lots of wires to tuck away/fasten down but I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel  :haha: :haha: :D

Still labouring mightily on the front garden fence painting but again there the end is in sight.

Rain stopped play with the fence painting so now I have time for some fun with my tetris game  :haha: 8O

As you can see everything electrical and electronic fits, but the wiring is a nightmare. More work required to fix this problem so I can fit the engine cover.

Almost there with the tetris game, the wiring is much improved but still a few challenges to overcome

Neat work with the tetris, Alwyn! Those plugs really give a sense of scale to the tiny little compartment, amazing you could get it all to fit. You'd think the 35rctank lads would make the switch to SBUS so you could save on space with the radio receiver, it'd be invaluable for smaller 1:35 builds!

Well after a long hiatus caused by SWMBO(She Who Must Be Obeyed) insisting I finish painting the railings at the front of the house which I finally finished yesterday, here is the Bren Carrier AND IT LIVES!!! :D :D

phpBB [video]

and it has a good turn of speed.

Now I just have to figure out how to fit everything into the engine compartment  8O
