If there is a volume control it would look like this:

Hello, its sputtering, does it come when you turn the volume knob or constantly? you can spray WD40 on the potentiometer track,
it is a very effective product for electrical contacts

I feel that if it would have a volume adjustment it would be on the controller. But no, I do not see anything like that inside my tank. As for the WD40 trick, I might have to try that, but I don't want to further mess it up if it doesn't work.

Hello SG, it all depends on what mfu is fitted to your tank? The newer boards especially from heng long do indeed have the volume control on the transmitter/controller but older types do not. If you turn the tank on it's side and look underneath you may be able to see a volume control knob protruding out from inside the tank, it will be round and usually have a slot across the middle of it so you can place a screwdriver in to adjust the volume, if yours has one of these try adjusting it in small increments to see if the sound improves at all

Cheers,Lee.

Mato Tanks often came with a Clark tk22/24, if its not the volume pot at fault it could be the amp on the board,
I had one repaired recently at Clark for about a tenner.

After screwing around I really think it's the control/mother board. I'd like to replace that. Anyone got any recommendations?

You can send it in to get repaired? Huh. I'll try that. I have to figure out how to get it out of the tank without damaging it.
