Good News,
Glad now I did not get one of the ROK 1/12 scale Willys. This in motion will fit in perfectly with rolling Shermans and Halftracks.
regards,

I think that should I have need of a 1/16 Jeep I would get it from Will and Catherine because it would come ready fitted for RC.

An accurate scale model like this is a great surprise and value. We can expect more variants in coming years; desert SAS, recoilless gun, trailer…

Well finally! I do have one of Will and Catherine's jeeps, and I am still working on the load (hides some electronics) and Rad stencils. But the static kit is a must (maybe a few musts) for me! Andy's is going to get me in trouble with the HVSS Sherman and the Jeep.

Maybe some parts from Ford GPA could work, like tires:

I've been waiting for this one for the last 28 years or so.
I just need about a tenth of it now.
Tamiya with its very bad will at not doing it for years won't have my money!

A quality static jeep would look nice sitting on the shelf next to my tanks. I don't think I would have any burning desire to try and rc it.

Example of motorized Jeep made of 1/24 truck crawler. But in this example chassis is metal.

Looks interesting
I may have to see if i can take one of these and modify it to run my own axles with leaf springs to make a worthy Static to RC conversion

I spent alot of time previously designing one because nothing existed on the market.

I can testify to the quality of the WCP MODELS ( Will and Catherine's ) 1/16 scale ¼ ton truck (jeep) for anyone wishing to purchase an rc ready version, below is my own effort of one of these and the 2nd picture shows it with my static offering from Danbury mint, as you can see from the picture the scale and details stack up well against the diecast model

Cheers, Lee. ImageImage

And what a wonderful little creation it is :D

I must add, the tyres in the picture are just the test ones, it has the correct ones like Lee's now

Thanks Guys, glad to hear all of you with one of the WCP 1/4 ton trucks enjoys it and is proud of what they have received.
Its also great to see them being detailed up by their owners.
When will the Takom one be out? I need to get one anyway to see about a conversion kit if its worth doing

Kaczor, that is a brilliant conversion of the Danbury Jeep! I have a Danbury Jeep that will remain static, and I just ordered two of the Takom Jeeps. Fortunately I have enough food and enough gasoline in my Jeep Renegade ("Spaghetti Western") to last until my pension check comes. :haha: I have Will's vehicle and will return to it this week, as I just finished a static 1/18 1941 Chevrolet convertible, a "simple" kit I turned to for a quick (two months) build for fun. I will show the WCP vehicle when it is sorta finished, but my skills are limited so don't expect much compared to your wizardry.
