Dr.Professor, thanks! That’s too kind!, just a quick pick of the hull top anti slip, doing the turret today, and I’ll put a vid up of what I used and how, might help someone else.
And thanks again tankme for the schismatic, really helpful

Hi Barry!
Post the link! I wanna know how you achieve your witchcraft!
And here’s how I did the anti slip using rustolium, and extremely useful humbrol masking liquid.

Looks good. I was too lazy to mask it. Mine was done freehand with a brush and some Tamiya Concrete Texture Paint. I like the randomness of the brush. The hull has been primed in the pic, but the turret hasn't so you can see what it looks like painted.

Hi Tankme
That looks excellent, and I don’t trust myself with a paint brush!
Is the tusk armoured models? He’s a really good guy.
Mines nearly getting there, At least the sep v2 doesn’t have tusk! Not sure I’d have the patients.

Yes, it is the Armoured Models version of the TUSK2. Not perfect, but sometimes that's good enough... A lot of the SEP addons are present on Abrams with TUSK packages. TUSK 1 or 2 can be added to pretty much any Abrams regardless of model or any part of the package. I've got pics of A1s with TUSK 1 armor, but nothing would stop anyone from installing the TUSK 2 package on them. I think most A1s have been upgraded to A2s by now.Mr tank a lot wrote:Hi Tankme

I've touched a lot of projects in the past two weeks I haven't touched in a long time, but I haven't touched my Abrams yet. I just ordered some control boards for projects so the Abrams might get some love soon. I may not put a battle system in it as I'm a little gun shy about ramming it into stuff...

Hi!
There’s always fiddling in this hobby!, still will look cool with paint.
I’ve just done the vision blocks, I’ve transferred the trumpeter ones to the heng long coupla, you just have to hike them a lot! And this is my way of doing the anti laser on the blocks, I think it works okay???

Hi!
And I mangled the trumpeter loaders machine gun mated to the DKLMRC gun shield l, and a correction to the mounting point on the mg mount horse shoe, if you hatch doesn’t open I think it’s because of this.

Thank you for the URL on the anti-laser coating! Some years ago, I had used some very thin blue/greenish paper I got somewhere online. (Me..? Remember where..? You gotta be kidding!) I gave that Abrams away to a pal. So if I get back to comtemporary AFVs, I have your idea to try.
