I have purchased Simulate Bolts from BNA, they usually have a pretty good selection.
Barry
Yes they do have them, but I need real bolts to maintain a bit of resilience for handling & operation.
I will get them somewhere Im sure.
I understand!
What size(s) are you looking for? I might be able to help, I have a number of different sizes.
Barry
All I need are 12 nuts and bolts
Prefer 1mm diameter at say 5-10 mm long
Hex head in brass in the perfect world.
Flat washers would be a luxury option but not crucial .
Really appreciate the offer Mr C
M1.2 at a pinch or the imperial equivalent to any of the 1mm or 1.2mm is fine.
Last thing I want is having the classic Tamiya screws into the guards as they did on the King Tiger !!
Hi Herman, its your mate from across the ditch. I can send you 6mm x 1mm bolts ,washers and nuts .I may be able to do the bolt in 8mm length but I will have to have a look. What would you prefer. Regards John.

Either length is fine Mr GLOVER , they will be trimmed to suit once fitted.
Can’t believe a part so small can be such a hard thing to get hold of in normal life!
Watching the F1 in finally the perfect time zone !
Got the Champagne out, Ferrari kit on and hopes high.
Managed to get a bit of gold-work done on the StuG .
The front infill section of armour on the right front took a few cardboard templates to get close enough, but a compromise shape had to be settled on.
Happy enough with the look.
it will be a very nice Stug, interesting and unique, I'm looking forward to how you will manage the final solution and coloring, he would also deserve a seated figure of a grenadier ...

Thanks Mr '88, I do hope to get a figure on or in it, but thats a while away yet.
Right now while I wait for bolts to fit the armour, Im free styling the tool positions.
Going to make a few plausible assumptions about tool placement now that the usual spots are not ideal due to extra armour.
Looking at the subject photo, the absence of towing cables is evident, Im sure there must have been one at least on it, but its not visible on either side view.
Likely they were on the rear deck.
As for the final paint work, I was thinking it had a green base, but that was shot down by advice from a well researched mate that has far greater access to historical material than I do.
Next mission, roof MG shield mounting..........
Any one looking for a fantastic source of miniature bolts, washers and bolts. Knupfer Modellbau. Huge range and shipping is quick and cost is good. This is were the bolts, washers and nuts I am sending Herman come from. John.
