Which Leopard a4 is better?

Post by Shagnifico »

I recently learned that there are three versions of Tamiya’s 1/16 Leopard 1a4. A radio controlled version, a remote controlled version and a static version. Are there any important differences? I don’t care about electronics and gearbox as I plan on replacing it.

If you planning to change electronics and gearbox go for static version (if available).

I'd vote for getting the full electronics version and selling the main board as soon as you get it. You will get back a big chunk of what the kit costed you and you will have the gearbox, elevation and rotation units and don't forget a nice speaker.

That is what I did in all my tamiya tanks.

The static version is not an option!
Because all suspension parts are made of plastic.
