DNEPROMODEL - anyone ever bought from them ?
Re: DNEPROMODEL - anyone ever bought from them ?
I ordered their 1/16 Turan II on October 09. After 2 inquiries and excuses indicating the mold needed updates, a parcel shipped out on November 29 from the Ukraine, not Hungary. Still in transit with a provided tracking number indicating it left Ukraine on December 6.Has not reached Canada yet so I assume it is going surface mail... Hopeful it is going to make it. Will advise.

Thanks. Fingers crossed it gets to you OK and was worth the wait.

Hi, good news, the 1/16 scale Turan II has arrived, and coming with a personalised Christmas wish card and 10% discount on following order. Ordered directly from their website, it is much cheaper than their store on eBay.
At first sight, I am very happy. Parts are well casted and I believe can be converted to RC. All resin, there is no PE or metal.
Nicely boxed
There are a lot of parts, most molded in dark grey, all sealed in bags. The larger ones are separately packed and numbered with stickers.
The turret is well made.
The upper hull parts. Its made of resin that seems as strong as plastic.
Roadwheels
Instructions
Sprocket and some track links. The tracks are finely molded but static.
They must have partnered with Friulmodel because they have a set of metal tracks available for the Turan II, and cheap at 30EU for the set.

Detail for the Friulmodel tracks
Comparing the kit resin tracks with the Friulmodel metal tracks.
At this time, I recommend it.

Many thanks for the update and photos Louis. It does look like an interesting kit, especially with the addition of the Fruilmodel tracks
Guess I now know what I'm getting myself for a late Christmas present.

LMCQ11, did you ever build/convert this kit? I just discovered them. I couldn't find a build thread here.
Renault FT, British WW1 Mk. 4), Pz 1A DAK, 1B, II L, III, StuG III, PzKpfw IV, StuG IV, King Tiger, T-34/76, KV-1E, T-35A 3DP, Zik-2, T-90, M3 Lee, M4 Sherman, M26 Pershing, M41 Bulldog, M1 Abrams. In the works: Ram II, Pz 1 Breda.

No, The Turan II is still in the box. The Turan model is heavy, the complicated suspension and the resin sprocket are show stoppers for RC conversion at this time. It would likely be built as a static if i would.SoCalBobS wrote:LMCQ11, did you ever build/convert this kit?
The Toldi would be a simpler candidate for RC, simpler suspension.
Their new PZ.KPFW I AUSF.F is interesting.

Ow, that is great kit, such a funny tank.lmcq11 wrote: Their new PZ.KPFW I AUSF.F is interesting.
Since I made some pictures of it in Kubinka I am looking for it.
(by the way the Pz.Kpfw II ausf J is also very cool)

The pictures seen here suggest this company's models have crisp detail and possibly worth a look-see beyond those shown. Has anyone seen their Elefant either already built up or as parts? Attempts to contact the company via their suggested email address have gone unanswered (not a good beginning to building a customer support base).

My 43M Zrínyi II arrived in January but it was a painful process to get it.
Ordered in August.
Chased in October, where they apologised for the delay and said they were now "finishing with your order", which I translated as "oh crap, better cast that one now".
Chased in November, where they told me it had been shipped and tracking would be available in 1-3 days, which I translated as "not posted yet".
That one disappeared, as the tracking number never worked.
Chased in January, when I was told that they would find out what had happened to it. The upshot was a new tracking number, so I presume they sent another kit.
The tracking on that one worked, and the kit eventually arrived.
Unfortunately, due to other commitments, I've not had a chance to check it, but I was planning to build it as a static anyway.
