After 3 years of faithful and reliable work, my Anycubic Mega died the hero's death... Short circuit and cable fire
In the summer I had started printing parts for a Bear 2.1 and procuring more hardware.

Printing a printer? A natural development, I think- since robots already build robots, but this is an interesting and really impressive D-I-Y option!. It looks strong and durable. Let's hope it makes a great ersazt for your Anycubic Mega (R.I.P!).
One of these days, I must try printing something. I was given this Hictop printer back in 2017 (he writes, somewhat shamefaced ), built it properly...and then stashed it away in a cupboard, awaiting a suitable project. None came.

Thanks for the kind words.
For me it was very important that the printer performs an automatic calibration and that the print bed remains straight and flat.
