VW Käfer Aufklärungs Fahrzeug
Re: VW Käfer Aufklärungs Fahrzeug
Right now I am waiting for some new rims and tires to come in, which where printed for me in Austria.
To be continued....so be a little patient.

Bravo! It seems likely that your Käfer is in 1/18, not 1/16. (The only 1/16 I know of is the Revell kit.) Am I correct? It will be fun to see what wonders you work with this classic VW.

Correct.
Both my VW's are in 1:18 scale, made by Welly.

I forgot to mention.
Before I started spraying with the red primer, I had to get rid of the chrome trims alongside the body on both sides, and on the bonnet up front.
Back than during the wartime, these chromed accessories where not available yet.
I filed them off and finished it with some sandpaper.

The roof I will make in an open folded position, out of some cotton, about the same as on my other VW. Only in a different color.
No lugage rack on top this time. Maybe I will make a soldier with some monoculars, looking out of the roof....

Re: VW Käfer Aufklärungs Fahrzeug
This afternoon I put some primer on the doors and the motorhatch.
I intend to spray the Dunkelgelb while doors, trunk and bonnet are mounted onto the vehicle.
In this way the red primer shows on spots, covered by the hatches when they are opened.
It is just an idea, no clue if it will work and look good in the end.
We'll see.....
